The Grind
How Dry Streak works. Hold to earn, every cycle rolls the drop table, level to boost your odds, sell to lose. The grind and the drop, one loop.
Hold to earn XP
XP is holder-time times bag. Every block you hold $DRY without selling, your character earns XP. A bigger stack held longer levels faster. There is nothing to click. AFK is the meta.
Level 1 to 99
XP maps to a level on an old-school exponential curve, so early levels fly by and the last few are a true grind. Your one overall level is the number that matters. The flavor skills (Holding, Conviction, Patience, Diamond Hands, Gold Find) all feed the same behavior.
Every cycle rolls the drop table
Holding is not just XP. Each cycle the keeper rolls the drop table for you, funded by the creator-fee stream and paid in gold (GLDx). Mostly small common gold, then an uncommon, a rare (~1/512), and the jackpot pet (~1/5000). The grind and the drop, same hold.
Your level boosts your drops
This is the link. The higher your level, the more rolls you get per cycle and the better your odds on every tier. A level-99 pet drops meaningfully more often than a level-1 pet. Grinding to 99 is not just a number, it upgrades your loot.
The dry streak
Your dry streak is the rolls since your last rare or pet. It is the brand and the tension. Some players are tens of thousands of rolls dry. The table always pays eventually. Stay through the dry streak. The drop is coming.
Sell burns XP
Cut your bag and the keeper burns your XP in proportion. You drop levels and you slide back down the drop table. You got PK'd, you lost your XP. Paper hands reset to spawn. The only defense is to keep holding.
Max Cape at 99
Reach level 99 for the Max Cape: the endgame flex, the badge on the Hiscores, the top reward tier, and the best drop odds in the game. Very few make it. That is the point.
Start the streak
Buy $DRY, hold, and watch your character level while the table rolls. Do not sell. You lose your XP.
